2004. 385 pages, 12 colored plates, 63 monochrome plates, 136 text figures. The text treats 181 species in 15 genera of North American, including Mexico, moths of the noctuid tribe Agrotini. Two genera, two subgenera, and 56 species are newly described. Forty-four species occur in Mexico but not farther north. Adults of 180 species are illustrated in color by 478 specimens. Diagnostic characers of all the genera and species are detailed and illustrated. Identification keys for all genera and species based on characters of adults together with illustrations of wings and genitalia and notes on variable characters will be extremely helpful to identify specimens. The immature stages of several species are characterized, illustrated, a nd provided with identification keys.
